Port Discovery
35 Market Place Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 864-2700
At this kid-powered museum with three floors of exhibits, children of all ages — though mostly ages 2 to 10 — can cross the Nile to explore ancient Egypt, crawl through a kitchen drain to solve a mystery in Miss Perception’s Mystery House, and climb the three-story-high Kidworks. Walt Disney Company Imagineers designed many of the exhibits. Buy groceries and fill up your car’s tank at the convenience store and stop at the diner. Wonders of Water is wet but it sure is fun. Story times for toddlers are offered Tuesday through Friday at 11:30am; Saturday at 11am, noon, and 1pm; and Sunday at 3:30pm. There are also changing exhibits every quarter. Ranked among the top 5 children’s museums in the U.S., Port Discovery offers 3 floors of hands-on, educational exhibits and ever-changing programs for children ages 0-10.
