We at Pectus Services are excited to announce T-Joe Physical Therapy Practices!
The New Jersey practices have been named Sites of Clinical Excellence by Columbia University, and have received the 2010 Alumni Award from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). They are the first T-Joe Authorized Pectus Physical Therapy practices in New Jersey!
Attending physical therapy will fully complete your T-Joe Pectus Improvement Program, including pre-surgery therapy before a Nuss procedure, or before bracing for Pectus Carinatum patients.
Here are some ways our physical therapy team can help your child: <
- Strengthen muscles that have been weakened by a Pectus defect
- Improve flexibility and posture
- Decrease discomfort
- Ensure lasting effects from the T-Joe Brace for most children
- For Pectus Excavatum patients, physical therapy both before and after surgery can actually help your child have a shorter hospital stay, fewer complications such as muscle spasms, improve comfort, and may even result in a better cosmetic outcome.
